24APR08. Thursday. Ahhhh, the joys of deployment. Who knew when I got out here that I'd be worried about getting a decent job upon my return home? And, to add insult to injury, there are also some hidden gems with my former company getting bought out. Didn't really know what they were until just yesterday. Checked my "former" 401K Retirement Plan. Guess what? It's been terminated. Yep, without notice, the our retirement plan has been terminated. Of course, I'm sure they sent an email out to all employees notifying them of this. Certianly I didn't find out til yesterday. And, of course when I called for informaition, the office was closed. So, the next opportunity in which to excell is to first understand this mess, determine the level of impact on our (former) retirement, and try to set a path to recover our losses. Hey, at least we still have our health....Great. I think I just jinxed that.... On the lighter side, by buddy Jim sent the attached picture. Did bring a chuckle or two. Doug
