THE END IS NEAR

19APR08. SATURDAY. Well, finally got a had date for my departure - 20JUL08. Whereas this was all via verbal channels, I can't wait to actually get my papers in hand to confirm. Just this little bit of information was a real punch in the arm. Gives me something to plan against..... Notionally, I'll fly into North Carolina, get a rental and drive the remainder. This seems to be the best method - given the amount of different bases I got to stop at to turn-in gear. Still, it will seem like a vacation to me. Well, not much else to relay. Just wanted to share the good news. Hope all is well. Doug
